It’s hard to believe that this is the final day of TSW Best Practices 2014. What a spectacular experience it has been. The energy, participation, and information sharing has been outstanding. You can see it in the photos, hear it in the session rooms, and observe it in the TSW | EXPO.

There’s a ton in store today, our last day together, so let’s get to it!

Everyone knows breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And it’s especially important to feed your mind as well as your body. So join us again for our TableTopic Breakfasts, held in the TSW EXPO. Roundtable settings with subject-matter experts on pivotal topic areas are conducive to some powerful conversations—even at 7:30 a.m.!

Keynote Takes Center StageNow that your brain and body are jump-started, you’ll be ready for our dynamic keynote panel, “The Extreme Automation of Services.” You'll learn about TSIA's new Extreme Automation Framework and how TSIA members will need to consider what the framework and the mandate mean to them. Panelists from Cisco, Red Hat, Oracle, EMC, and TSIA will debate the model and share their pioneering efforts to have “software eat services.”

Gaining New InsightsFrom 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., 12 Best Practices Breakouts will be delivered that will give you both high-level perspectives as well as tactics to deploy in your business the moment you return home.

Also happening from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. is the final hour of the TSW EXPO. If you saw something you wanted to know more about but didn’t get a chance to ask about it, now is the time to do just that! Don’t miss this final opportunity to see the industry’s very best products and services!

And the Winner Is...

At 11 a.m., what is perhaps the most anticipated event at TSW takes place: the TSIA Vision Awards Competition at Service Revolutions. Some of the most innovative companies in technology services will compete head-to-head for the coveted TSIA Vision Award. Seven industry-leading organizations placed as finalists in the categories of Commercial, Startup, and Service Practitioner, they are:

  • Commercial: ANCILE, Radialpoint, and Transversal
  • Startup: SimpleQL and XOEye Technologies
  • Service Practitioner: Blackbaud and SAP
You, the audience, will cast your votes and decide who will walk away as this year’s winners! Plus, the winner in the Startup category will win an additional cash prize of $10,000! Be sure to come early and get a good seat.

Following the competition, the 2014 TSW Best Practices awards will be presented honoring the industry’s finest. See who won the TechFUTURES Audience Favorite, TechBEST Best in Show, TechBEST Best in Satisfaction, and the Vision Awards in the Commercial, Startup, and Service Practitioner categories.

Wrapping It Up

The luncheon at 12:30 is your final opportunity to break bread and network with your services peers. Join us—we’ll save you a seat!

Following lunch is the closing keynote from John Macgee of GE Software. You’ll absolutely want to stick around for his session, “How the Industrial Internet Will Transform Services.” John will discuss how the next industrial revolution is being driven by the convergence of information technology and operational technology. He’ll share how the business models for these new services will evolve, how to navigate this transformation, and how to leverage these new approaches to make services more valuable and sticky to customers than ever before.

Information You’ll Want to Know

From 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. are two important Informational Sessions: one on the expansion of the Service Revenue Generation discipline and the other covering the Support Services expansion. Learn all the about the enhancements being made to the TSIA membership program in these areas, including planned research, new initiatives, and key drivers.
